All our featured escorted tours to Iceland have been chosen specifically for their content, standard of accommodation and service and because they offer what we consider to be leisurely, information packed trips!

In addition to our own escorted tour, The Western Fjords in Norway (escorted throughout by the lovely Susan Gjerde!), we also offer a small selection of specialist escorted tours in Iceland through our partners, Gudmundur Jónasson Travel (see below).

Our tours in Iceland are organised by the family owned company who have over 60 years experience of arranging escorted coach tours throughout Iceland. Gudmundur, the founder, was chosen by NASA to arrange their travel arrangements when training for the first moon landing and has also guided Sir Edmund Hillary.

Accommodation is of a very good standard with all rooms having private facilities however it should be noted that the very nature of Iceland as a destination makes it impossible to offer an official star rating for each destination. Meals are taken in either the hotel or a nearby restaurant.

Whilst no particular level of fitness is required to particfipate in any of these tours, it should be noted that they do involve quite a bit of walking - which we believe is part of their charm! The average number of hours walking per day is shown at the end of each itinerary.
