This is the ultimate adventure break, promising you some of the the world's most enthralling activities. Here you will explore Finnish Lapland as you travel through snow-covered forests with husky dogs and reindeers, and chase the mystical phenomenon of the Northern Lights - one of the world's most sought after natural displays. You don't have to be super-fit for this holiday, the only thing required is a lust for adventure!
Day 1 - Thursday
Fly from UK to Kittilä Airport and transfer by bus to Harriniva Holiday Centre in Muonio. Dinner is served during the evening.
3 nights MUONIO - Harriniva Holiday Centre (HB)
Day 2 - Friday
After breakfast you will meet with your guide and be taken to the husky farm where you will be greeted by over 400 happy huskies. After the guided tour of the husky farm, you will receive driving and safety instructions and then begin the 2-hour husky safari (distance 9 kms). Afterwards you will return to your hotel and after dinner pack your snowshoeing equipment onto a snowmobile sled and head out with your guide to try and locate the Northern Lights. After hopefully finding the prefect spot for viewing, you can relax and enjoy the spectacular display over a nice warm drink!
Day 3 - Saturday
After breakfast you will visit a local reindeer herder and his reindeers. You will learn about the life and ways of the reindeer man and of course also about his reindeer. Reindeer herders will show you how to throw the lappish lassoo (suopunki) and you will also enjoy a short safari during the programme. Lunch is served in a small lappish kota by the fire. In the evening you will start your engines again and head out. The chances of seeing the famous Northern Lights are great on this night safari by snowmobiles. The approximately 20 kms tour takes you to the top of a nearby fell, where you will enjoy some warm drinks and draw in the atmosphere of the colourful sky. You can either drive your own ski-sled of enjoy the ride on a guide's sled.
Day 4 - Sunday
Transfer to Kittilä Airport for your return flight to the UK.

Description: The chances of seeing the famous 'Aurora Borealis' are great on this night safari by snowmobiles. The 20 kms tour takes you to the top of Olostunturi fell, where you will enjoy some warm drinks and feel how the sky is closer and the stars brighter.....

Description: Visit an Old Lappish Manor House and learn about the way of the old days. The reindeer herding has been practised in the family for over a century. Programme includes lunch in a Lappish tepee 'kota'.
