The Lofoten Islands are part of the beautiful archipelago in Norway’s north west, beyond the Arctic Circle, whose mystical beauty has inspired writers and artists for many years. Being within the Arctic Circle means that you are in prime location for viewing the Northern Lights - the world's most sought after celestial display. The team from Taber Holidays went to the Lofoten Islands very recently and saw the Northern Lights which you can read all about on our blog.
This is a wonderful holiday, perfect for those wanting to experience some of the world's most awe inspiring scenery, and absorb the very special history, culture and nature that is the Lofoten Islands. But just so you know that it's not only us who rave about the Lofoten Islands, the National Geographic have the following words to say "Chilly, high-latitude islands form a 'masterpiece' of spectacular outcrops steeped in cherished tradition".
And did we mention it's a great place to see the Northern Lights?
