West Iceland represents the whole of Iceland in miniature

glaciers, mountains, hot springs, lava-fields, waterfalls,

black-sand beaches and sleepy fishing villages - and your

resort at Glymur on the beautiful Hvalfjörður or Whale

Fjord, is a wonderful base from which to explore the

region.

Glymur is also the name of Iceland´s highest waterfall at nearly 200 metres and we recommend a lovely half-day round trip (10 minutes drive from the hotel plus a one hour hike in each direction to the cascade). Why not ask the hotel to prepare a picnic to take with you?

There are also 9 and 18 hole golf courses nearby (remember in summer the sun sets as late as midnight!).
