Elveseter is an old farmstead situated in Bøverdalen valley in Lom County. Tourists from all walks of life, queens, kings, and heads of state as well as internationally acclaimed adventurers have all visited Elveseter. The family have always been great collectors of art, which are on display today, including paintings of Norwegian masters as well as works from the great Norwegian woodcarvers of the eighteenth century. One of the characteristics of Elveseter is the use of names and symbology from the ancient Norse Mythology. Names such as Midgard, Utgard, Tor and Odin make history come alive and create a bridge to modern time. The hotel is idyllically located in the forest to the foot of the Dovre National Park. Trails are for all who love the woods - summer and winter. In the winter, the mountains are covered with snow, and there are miles of well-prepared cross-country skiing tracks as well as an alpine skiing center. Summer visitors will appreciate the unspoilt nature right on the doorstep of the Norlandia Dovrefjell Hotell - ideal for hiking on idyllic forest paths or in the mountain, fishing trips or musk ox safari. The hotel restaurant is well known for its delicious, home-made food, served in a pleasant dining room with a great view overlooking the Dombås skiing area. There is live music and dancing in the Moskus Dansebar for evening entertainment, and making this hotel extra unique there is 89 guest rooms incl. 45 non-smoking rooms, 13 allergy rooms and 3 rooms for the disabled. Bergen's oldest family-run hotel now managed by the fourth generation. Centrally located in the shopping and harbour area, the oldest part of the hotel was built in Art Nouveau style in 1909, however, since then the hotel has expanded, incorporating old neighbouring houses and building new wings. The hotel has a popular intimate dinner restaurant (closed Sundays) and a lovely 400-year-old cellar bar.  All bedrooms are equipped with TV, phone, hairdryer, mini-bar and trouser press  Lift to all floors.
