Day 1

Arrive Keflavik Airport. Pick up your hire car at the airport and drive to Reykjavik. Suggestion: Why not stop off at the geothermal nature baths of the Blue Lagoon en route for a couple of hours of total relaxation in the milky blue waters?

1 night REYKJAVIK - Hotel Reykjavik Natura (BB)

Day 2

A full day which comprises all the elements which go together to make up what is known as the ´Golden Circle´tour. Start with Þingvellir National Park before continuing to Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot spring area.

1 night FLÚÐIR - Hotel Flúðir (BB)

Day 3

Drive along the scenic south shore and across the area around the infamous Eyjafjallajökull strato volcano. Onwards to see the beautiful waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. Discover the Skógar Folk Museum and see the impressive black beaches around Mýrdalsjökull glacier. Continue via the charming village of Vik to Kirkjubaejarklaustur for your overnight stay. Optional visit to the Eyjafjallajökull Volcano Visitor Centre (highly recommended).

1 night KIRKJUBAEJARKLAUSTUR - Hotel Klaustur (BB)

Day 4

Return along the south shore to Reykjavik and enjoy some free time exploring the city centre.

1 night REYKJAVIK - Hotel Reykjavik Natura (BB)

Day 5

Drive back to Keflavik Airport and return your hire car before your return flight to the UK.

Hotel Reykjavik Natura ****

A lovely hotel situated in the quiet Oskjuhlid wooded area of Reykjavik, next to the only geothermal beach in Reykjavik, and just a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The hotel was completely renovated and re-named in the spring of 2011 (formerly Hotel Loftleiðir) and now offers very stylish accommodation with a theme of nature. All standard rooms have a double or twin bed - TV -Telephone - Wireless Internet (for small fee) - Trouser press - Fridge - Coffee and tea making facilities plus bathroom with shower and hairdryer. The hotel has several restaurants with traditional Icelandic food being the main feature. The hotel also has a cafe and Grab & Go fast food outlet and a bar. The hotel´s spa and wellness centre, Sóley Natura Spa offers a wide range of spa treatments for those who need pampering!


Hotel Flúðir ***

Icelandair Hotel Flúðir is situated in a modern, one-storey building in the quiet community of Flúðir. Only an hour’s drive from Reykjavík, yet situated in the heart of the country, it’s the ideal stop-off point if you’re exploring the Golden Circle – one of Iceland’s best-loved sights. All guest rooms have parquet flooring and are designed for your optimum comfort. All rooms have double bed or twin beds, TV, Telephone and bathroom facilities including a shower and hairdryer. Every room has private access to the garden. The Flúðir region is famous for its organic produce and the hotel restaurant allows you opportunity to sample some of the very finest local produce. The restaurant has a lovely view of the surrounding landscape and there is also a cosy bar and sitting area where you can sip a drink and socialise after an exciting day’s activity.


Hotel Klaustur ***

Icelandair Hotel Klaustur is located mid-way between Myrdalsjokull glacier and the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajokull (260 km from Reykjavík city centre). All guestrooms have twin beds or a Queen size bed, LDC TV, Telephone and a bathroom with shower and WC and hairdryer. The rooms are decorated with modern colours and rich furnishings to a high standard. The hotel´s restaurant seats up to 150 guests and serves locally sourced food with specialities being lamb and trout. The hotel also has a bar which is open in the afternoon and during the evening where you can enjoy a drink and admire the view.
