If you want to spend your winter holiday breathing

in fresh air overlooking the magnificent mountainous

range of the Lyngen Alps, then look no further. This

is the perfect holiday for you.

The Lyngen Alps are a magnificent mountain range in the county of Tromsø, in Arctic Norway. The mountains follow the western shore of the Lyngen fjord and there are few more beautiful places to be found anywhere.

We have put together a lovely, scenic holiday combining the Arctic's capital city, Tromsø, with the lovely Lyngen Lodge, a luxury boutique hotel located with secluded woodland on one side and the Lyngen Fjord on the other. You will be engulfed by unspoilt nature.

With its grass covered roofs overlooking blue waters and the snow-capped image of the Lyngen Alps looking back at you, the Lyngen Lodge is, without doubt, one of Northern Norway's most picturesque hotels and the ideal place to view the Northern Lights from.

Lyngen Lodge Norway

Traditionally constructed from Norwegian "lafting" pine timber frame in close partnership with the environment, geothermic heating provides the warmth while a thick grass roof provides insulation. The interior wears shades of pastel colours and furnishings chosen to compliment the surrounding natural environment. Large panoramic windows in the centre of the lodge provide guests with commanding views over the spectacular Lyngen Alps, while the large open stone fire place creates a relaxed, peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.

Food is of the highest standard with fine local produce being prepared by in-house chefs with a focus on Norwegian coastal culture.

One of the owners, Graham Austick, describes what his immediate vision was for the Lodge:

"My vision was to create a lodge, which blended into the natural environment of the Arctic Lyngen Alps and give the opportunity to travellers to experience this remarkable region on an annual basis. In our increasingly busy and stressful life style it’s necessary to escape, relax and connect with nature and the lodge concept comprising of adventure, ultimate relaxing and de stressing in a relaxed environment addresses exactly these issues."
