Storklinten is a small and peaceful resort located in the wilderness woodlands of Swedish Lapland close to the Luleå river which flows through vast woodlands into the Gulf of Bothnia.  Located just south of the Arctic Circle, Storklinten offers a true winter wonderland with an abundance of dry, white snow with a few hours of precious daylight per day and the opportunity to see the Northern Lights on a dark, clear night.

Storklinten offers a full range of services with activities, accommodation and a restaurant where tastes of Swedish Lapland, drinks and live music are on the menu. There are cross country tracks and snowmobile trails as well as lakes for ice fishing and guided tours and safaris. Sweden’s largest Sami village, Sirges, uses Storklinten and its surroundings as wintertime reindeer grazing grounds and the area around Storklinten usually hosts a few hundred reindeer during the winter season.

The resort's proximity to the famous Treehotel means it is possible to either just visit the hotel for a guided tour during a day trip or intensify the experience and spend a night amongst the branches so to speak! See 'Excursions' for further details.

Storklinten ski area has 11 slopes, 4 lifts and a snowpark with lines for beginners, intermediate and advanced. There is a children's play area and a professional ski school for all ages and skill levels plus a full service rental shop. The ski slopes are open during the weekends and Wednesday evenings with daily opening from 24 Dec - 8 Jan, 18 Feb - 11 Mar and 5 Apr to 15 Apr.

All in all we believe Storklinten is a perfect winter destination for friends and families to enjoy a traditional, peaceful winter holiday.
