Read moreThis city break combination uses the excellent and, above all, reliable rail networks of the featured countries for transportation between destinations. These journeys are not simply a means to an end, but in themselves represent an exciting and, if you choose to add on 'Across the Roof of Norway' to Bergen, a spectacular journey over mountains, alongside lakes, fjords and rivers and through rolling forests and valleys.

The Öresund Bridge is an amazing two-tier structure linking Denmark and Sweden by rail and road and is the longest cable-stayed main span bridge in the world.

Morning departure by rail for the spectacular journey 'Across the Roof of Norway' crossing Hardangervidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau from Oslo to Bergen. Those taking the optional 'Norway in a Nutshell' sidetrip change train at Myrdal and take the Flåm Mountain Railway for the world famous 50 minute journey descending to Flåm, overlooking the beautiful Aurlandsfjord. They then continue by boat along the Aurlands and Nærøy fjords before climbing Stalheim Gorge by bus to appreciate the view! Re-join the express train at Voss and continue to Bergen.
