Lapland, (also Sápmi), is the area traditionally inhabited by the Sami people. It is located in Northern Europe and includes the northern parts of Scandinavia and Finland with the Kola peninsula in Russia.
Long being thought of by children (and some adults alike!) as the home of Santa Claus there is more to Lapland than Christmas, reindeer and snow! The people indiginous to the region are known as the Sami and they have tended their reindeer here for thousands of years.
A wide variety of activities are available for both winter and summer which include the opportunity to explore the nature and culture of this wild and beautiful region.
