Volcano eruption in Iceland

The Grimsvötn volcano in South Iceland erupted on 21 May resulting in the cancellation of all international and domestic flights in and within Iceland. Although the intensity of the eruption is less than when it reached its peak on 22 May, international flights into Iceland remained cancelled during the morning of 23 May but were due to resume later in the afternoon.

UK Aviation officials say there is no effect on UK airspace at present, but they are ´monitoring the situation closely´.

Taber Holidays are also monitoring the situation and will keep passengers due to travel updated on the situation. Anyone who has concerns regarding their travel arrangements should contact Taber Holidays on 01274 875199.
