Flam Mountain railway. The opportunities are endless.
Imagine clear roads which are a pleasure
to drive on and a climate that can boast more sunshine
in summer than anywhere else in Europe. Norway is
a place of tremendous beauty, with scenery that is
simply breathtaking. Why not take a cruise on the
Fjords or a rail holiday in Norway, or stop in the Ice
Hotel, why not see with the Midnight Sun and - weather permitting - the Northern
Lights. We can help you
plan your trip and any excursions that you fancy.
More than half Sweden's land surface
is pine and birch forest amongst which there are an
amazing 100,000 beautiful lakes. Take a trip to Stockholm,
which is easily one of the most beautiful cities in
Europe and is often referred to as 'Beauty on Water'
due to her situation covering 14 connected islands.
A holiday in Sweden promises
to be one of the most relaxing and 'laid back' you
may have!
Iceland is sometimes called 'Natures
Meeting Place', Icelandic scenery is stunning and
varied offering geysers, hot pools, active volcanoes,
mountains and fjords, glaciers and mighty waterfalls
including Dettifoss, the most powerful in Europe,
deserts of volcanic sands. So why not take a holiday to Reykjavik,
the blue lagoon or any of Icelands stunning locations.
Denmark offers a delightful mix of
city life with the gentler pace of her countryside.
Her cosmopolitan and lively capital city, Copenhagen,
is the largest of the Scandinavian
capitals and offers the opportunity to visit Tivoli
Gardens, her grand old amusement park in the heart
of the city centre. The Little Mermaid sits patiently
in the waterfront and is a popular photo opportunity!
For such a small country, a holiday in Denmark offers
so much to do.
Greenland is a world of giant icebergs,
towering mountains, lush green countryside and calving
glaciers. Greenland's icecap alone covers almost 1.8
million square kilometres, 14 times the size of England.
A holiday to Greenland is something very special;
you can even take a cruise. South Greenland is characterised
by short distances which means that on a short visit
it is possible to experience towns and settlements,
glaciers, history and, not least, Greenlandic culture.
For something really special you can visit the hot
springs & Spas and bathe in water at 36 degrees
centigrade, while at the same time enjoying the sight
of the ice floes decoratively scattered over the sea.
Summer temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees centigrade
are not uncommon.
Lapland has long being thought of
by children (and some adults alike!) as the home of
Santa Claus, but there is more to Lapland than Christmas,
reindeer and snow! The people indigenous to the region
are known as the Sami and they have tended their reindeer
here for thousands of years. A wide variety of holiday
activities are available for both winter and summer
which include the opportunity to stay in an Ice Hotel
or explore the nature and culture of this wild and
beautiful region. We also specialise in holidays
to Finland.
